Laboratory Consultation Services, Inc. was founded in 1978 by a group of experienced clinical laboratory professionals. Initially, their services focused on providing consulting services to commercial and physician-office based clinical laboratories, including training in infection control practices to comply with state and federal regulations. As OSHA began requiring compliance with bloodborne pathogens regulations, they incorporated these services into their portfolio.

In 1992, New York State required licensed healthcare professionals to complete certified Infection Control Courses as part of the licensing process. Laboratory Consultation Services became one of the first providers approved by New York State to offer this training. They later took the courses online to make them more accessible.

Over the years, Laboratory Consultation Services expanded their course offerings to include NYS Child Abuse Certification and NYS School Violence Prevention courses. They also added courses for other states and specialized fields such as California Dental Infection Control and California Dental Practice Act.

Their courses have been successfully completed by thousands of professionals across various states and countries. Laboratory Consultation Services continues to review and update their courses to ensure they are informative, relevant, and user-friendly.
